Scania got tired of reading about Diversity and Inclusion as being only nice words in strategy statements, equality plans and antidiscrimination policies. Because, they strive to do the right things in real life, not just on paper.
ogether withSweden's largest news magazine, Chef, and Eva Swartz Grimaldi, we created, designed and organized the Battle of the Numbers project with ten international companies: Ericsson, H&M, IKEA, SEB, SSAB, SPP, Sandvik SSAB, Scania, SAAB and Volvo to speed up the process of getting more women into high-operating positions.
Ten of Sweden’s top law firms, along with Handelskammaren (Swedish Chamber of Commerce) and SWAN (Swedish Women’s Arbitration Network) are fast-forwarding the process of getting the whole team playing by the same set of rules in this exciting project. The project includes the following firms: Baker & McKenzie, Cederquist, Delphi, DLA Piper, Hamilton, Hammarskiöld & Co., Hannes Snellman, MAQs, Roschier, and Setterwalls.
Women4Growth is a project run by Swedfund, the development financier of the Swedish state, whose goal is to eliminate poverty by creating sustainable business in some of the world’s toughest and most promising growth markets. We are the Storydoers is making sure to include gender diversity and inclusion in the operations of Swedfund’s portfolio companies in the Sub-Saharan continent.
Every year King gets everyone working for them together for an offsite, called Kingfomarket. The aim is to share innovative ideas, discuss best practices, meet colleagues and take part in workshops. During 2016 Diversity had become one of the hottest topics to discuss and kickstart within their organization. To speed up the process in making their Diversity and Inclusion strategy alive in their everyday work, The Storydoers ran several sessions for a majority of their employees.
During 2013 and the first part of 2014 we ran a process to help the Axel Johnson Group to speed up diversity for the following companies: Axel Johnson International, Axfood, Martin & Servera, Mekonomen Group, Novax and Svensk Bevakningstjänst. The vision for the Axel Johnson Group was, and still is, to have management groups consisting of 40-60% women and 20% of persons with international background by year 2020.
